Male Dog aged Senior.
Meet Homer, a 7-year-old Terrier mix who is finally ready to find the family he has worked so hard for.
When Homer first arrived at Rogue Valley Humane Society from a hoarding situation, the world felt like a scary place. Through months of patience, positive reinforcement, and trust-building, this little guy has made incredible progress. Every day he continues to show us that even the deepest fears can be overcome with kindness and consistency.
Today, Homer is a sweet, intelligent, and incredibly rewarding companion who forms deep bonds with the people he trusts. He loves quiet adventures, tasty treats, and spending time with his favorite humans. Watching Homer choose to be brave is one of the greatest joys we' have experienced.
Homer is looking for a calm, predictable, adult only home where his progress can continue to blossom. He would do best as an only pet with patient adopters who understand that trust is something built together. Once you earn his heart, you'll discover a loyal little shadow who will remind you every day just how powerful second chances can be.
If you're looking for a dog whose journey is just beginning, Homer may be your perfect match.
Come meet Homer at Rogue Valley Humane Society Monday through Saturday from 12–4 pm, or visit our website, roguevalleyhumanesociety.org to learn more about adoption.
